December 13th v Plattsburgh

UPDATE: we are not going to be able to get enough people together for this game and Joanna has canceled it.

Plattsburgh, NY would like us to come to them for a 1:00 pm game on December 13th. We would carpool a couple of cars down, obviously, and a few of us are talking about bringing a sitter for the smaller kids.

Anyone interested?

Face Off Against Breast Cancer

We are participating, along with other Vermont Women’s hockey teams, in a tournament in Middlebury on Saturday, January 24th that is raising money for breast cancer patients in Vermont.

The tourney started in 2000, when one of the Middlebury Otters was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily, she got treatment in time, and is a survivor. But in her honor, the team started a tournament to help support cancer patients during treatment.
The money goes directly to patients undergoing treatment here in Vermont, and it helps them with not only medication expenses and treatments, but mortgage payments, car payments, whatever it may be that they are struggling with and need help with throughout their ordeal.

We had a great turn out and raised a lot of money last year. If you are interested in participating in this year’s tournament, please post below.
